Demo 0.35


Small update to add a couple of minor features and fix up some issues/balancing.

  • Options
    • Added Show FPS option
    • Added Center Camera option functionality
    • Added Disable Screenshake option functionality
    • Added Limit Palette Swap option functionality
    • The changes to the options mean the options file has been reset.
  • Player
    • Added an extra transparent ring to the health display - When the health circle is bigger than this ring, overheating will kill the player. I felt like without this it was hard to know when you could safely overheat (not that it's ever safe to do so), but now it's a lot easier
    • Decreased the cooldown required for the player's health to recharge from 3 seconds to 2 seconds
  • Boss
    • Added a small intro card to the boss during the boss intro
    • Adjusted the radius of the eye during the phase 1 unshielded state as it clipped out of the boss a little
  • General
    • The game now says you win on the gameover screen after you beat the boss (actual win screen to be added) (untested)
    • Moved some instances of player.position over to a predefined playerPosition variable for safety (no idea why I wasn't using it in these cases). This is because the playerPosition variable is always valid and only updated when the player is alive by the player manager, so when the player dies, enemies can still use it without crashing but also without freezing themselves completely (IE if player dead return).
